What does maintenance include?

We inspect filters, check refrigerant levels, clean coils, and test all components. The work ensures your system breathes easy and performs at its best. It's preventive medicine for your home.

How long do systems typically last?

A well-maintained unit lasts fifteen to twenty years, sometimes longer. Neglect shortens that span considerably. Good care pays dividends over time.

Can I finance a new installation?

Do you service all system types?

Do you repair furnaces?

Do you install new furnaces?

How do I know if I should repair or replace my furnace?

We look at the age of the system, repair cost, safety concerns, comfort issues, and the overall condition of the equipment before making a recommendation.

Why is one room colder than the others?

Uneven heating can come from airflow restrictions, ductwork problems, insulation issues, return air problems, or equipment concerns. The furnace may not be the only factor.

Do you offer heating maintenance?

Yes. Heating maintenance helps keep your system clean, safe, and reliable while giving you a better understanding of its condition.

How do I know if I need a new HVAC system?

It depends on the age of the equipment, repair cost, system condition, comfort issues, refrigerant type, safety concerns, efficiency, airflow, and whether the system has had repeated problems.

Should I repair or replace my furnace or AC?

Sometimes repair is the better choice. Sometimes replacement is the smarter long-term decision. We look at the full system and explain both options clearly.

Do I need to replace my furnace and AC at the same time?

Not always, but there are good reasons to consider it. Replacing both together can help with system compatibility, installation quality, long-term planning, and avoiding another major replacement later. We will explain when a full system replacement makes sense and when an individual furnace or AC replacement may be the better fit.

Should I consider a heat pump?

Maybe. Heat pumps can be a good fit in the right circumstances, but they are not automatically the best answer for every home. A heat pump is not just an upgraded AC. It is a different system choice, and we can help you compare your options honestly.

Why does sizing matter?

A system that is too large or too small can create comfort problems, airflow issues, short cycling, noise, poor efficiency, and unnecessary wear on the equipment.

Do you install replacement systems?

Yes. We install replacement furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and full heating and cooling systems for residential homes throughout Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, and Salt Lake County.

Why does airflow matter?

Airflow affects comfort, noise, efficiency, equipment life, and how well the system can heat or cool the home. If air cannot move properly, the system cannot perform properly.

Can ductwork make a new system perform poorly?

Yes. If the ductwork is too small, restricted, poorly designed, or missing enough return air, even a good furnace or air conditioner can struggle.

Do you install new ductwork?

Yes, and here’s how we approach it today. We have experience with full ductwork systems, new construction ductwork, remodel work, and custom duct fabrication.

Right now, our focus is on helping with existing residential systems, airflow problems, equipment replacement planning, return air, filter setup, practical duct additions, and matching the HVAC system to the ductwork.

We are not currently focused on large new construction ductwork projects or full-home duct remodels. If your project is outside our current scope, we will tell you honestly.

Can you add return air?

Often, yes. If return air is part of the comfort or system performance problem, we can look at options and explain what would make sense.

Why is my system so loud?

Noise can come from equipment, duct sizing, high airflow, restriction, filter issues, or return air problems. A loud system is often a sign that something deserves a closer look.

Why does system sizing matter?

A system that is too large or too small can create comfort problems, airflow issues, short cycling, noise, poor efficiency, and unnecessary wear on the equipment.

Do HVAC systems need maintenance every year?

Most HVAC systems benefit from regular maintenance. Some systems can go years without a tune-up and still keep running, but regular maintenance gives you better information, helps catch issues earlier, and can reduce surprises during extreme weather.

What is included in the Comfort Agreement?

The Comfort Agreement currently includes two site visits per year, filters for the year, 10% off service, and 5% off installation.

Does every system qualify for the Comfort Agreement?

Not automatically. Some systems may need repairs, deeper cleaning, safety corrections, airflow improvements, or filter setup changes before starting the plan. If that is the case, we will explain what we see and quote any needed work separately.

When can I sign up for the Comfort Agreement?

Openings are typically available in February and March each year, with payment recurring annually.

What happens during AC maintenance?

We do light AC cleaning, check key components like capacitors, motor amps, unusual system sounds, refrigerant performance, airflow, and filters, and watch for signs the system may struggle during the summer.

What happens during furnace maintenance?

We vacuum out the furnace, do light cleaning, check key components like the flame sensor, igniter, circuit board, flue condition, and clearance, look at airflow, and make sure the system is operating safely and reliably.

Will you pressure me into repairs?

No. If we find something that needs attention, we will explain what we see, why it matters, and what your options are. Maintenance should give you clarity, not pressure.

Do you repair air conditioners?

Yes. We diagnose and repair residential air conditioning systems throughout Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, and Salt Lake County.

Why is my AC blowing warm air?

Warm air can come from several issues, including low refrigerant, a dirty outdoor coil, a bad capacitor, electrical problems, thermostat issues, frozen coils, or airflow restrictions.

How do I know if I should repair or replace my AC?

We look at the age of the system, repair cost, refrigerant type, system condition, comfort issues, airflow, and whether the system has had repeated problems.

Should I consider a heat pump instead of a standard AC?

Maybe. A heat pump can cool your home like an air conditioner and can also provide heat in the right setup, but it is not simply an upgraded AC. It is a different system choice.

Heat pumps can be a great fit in the right home, but they should be recommended based on your ductwork, electrical setup, backup heat needs, comfort expectations, utility costs, and how your home actually performs.

We can help you compare a standard air conditioner, a heat pump, or a full system replacement without treating any one option like a one-size-fits-all answer.

Why does my AC freeze up?

An AC can freeze because of airflow problems, dirty filters, refrigerant issues, dirty coils, or other system problems. A frozen system should be turned off and checked before it causes more damage.

Can a new AC fix uneven cooling?

Sometimes, but not always. Uneven cooling can also come from ductwork problems, return air issues, insulation, windows, airflow restrictions, or system sizing. We look at the full picture before assuming equipment alone will solve it.

Do you offer AC maintenance?

Yes. AC maintenance helps keep the system clean, checks key components, looks at refrigerant performance, and gives you a clearer picture of the equipment before the hottest part of the season.

Do you sell indoor air quality products?

We are happy to talk through indoor air quality concerns, but we are careful about what we recommend. We do not believe every home needs an in-duct air quality product, and we will not sell one as a cure-all.

Are high-MERV filters better?

Not always. Higher-rated filters can capture smaller particles, but they can also be more restrictive. If the HVAC system is not designed for that filter, it can reduce airflow and make the equipment work harder.

What filter should I use?

The right filter depends on the system, ductwork, airflow, and filter setup. In many homes, a reasonable filter changed regularly is better than an overly restrictive filter that hurts airflow.

What is the best way to improve indoor air quality?

For many homeowners, the best starting points are regular filter changes, healthy airflow, equipment maintenance, and a quality in-room air purifier for the spaces where air quality matters most.

Should I have my ducts cleaned?

Maybe, but be careful. Duct cleaning is often marketed with a lot of pressure and big promises. Some situations may justify it, but not every dusty home needs duct cleaning. It is worth understanding the actual issue before spending the money.

Do UV lights or duct air purifiers always make sense?

No. Some products may be useful in specific situations, but they should not be treated like magic fixes. We will explain what we think honestly before recommending anything.

Can airflow affect indoor air quality?

Yes. If air is not moving properly through the home, comfort and air quality can both suffer. Filters, ducts, return air, equipment cleanliness, and system sizing all play a role.
