Ductwork & Airflow
Serving Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, and more.
Helping your heating and cooling system breathe the way it should.
A furnace or air conditioner can only perform as well as the ductwork allows. If the system cannot move air properly, even good equipment can feel noisy, uncomfortable, inefficient, or worn out before its time.
At Huish Heating and Air Conditioning, we help homeowners throughout Salt Lake City, Taylorsville, and Salt Lake County understand how airflow, ductwork, return air, filters, and equipment sizing all work together.
We are a family-run residential HVAC company, and we care about looking at the whole system, not just the box in the basement or the unit outside.

How we help
Airflow problems can show up in a lot of ways. One room may be too hot or too cold. The system may be loud. The filter may be hard to access. The furnace or AC may be oversized for the ductwork. The home may have comfort problems that equipment alone will not solve.
That is why we take time to look at how the air is actually moving through the home before recommending changes.
Evaluate
We look at duct sizing, return air, supply airflow, filter setup, equipment size, static pressure concerns, and the comfort issues happening in the home.
Explain
We walk you through what we see in plain language so you understand whether the issue is equipment, ductwork, airflow, filtration, or a combination of things.
Improve
When it makes sense, we can recommend practical airflow improvements, duct additions, return air changes, filter accommodations, or system sizing adjustments.
Our ductwork & airflow services
Airflow diagnostics
A closer look at weak airflow, noisy systems, uneven temperatures, restricted returns, filter problems, and HVAC systems that seem to be working harder than they should.
Ductwork evaluation
We evaluate existing ductwork to see whether it is properly sized, restricted, poorly laid out, or creating problems for the heating and cooling system.
Return air improvements
Return air matters. If the system cannot pull enough air back, comfort and equipment performance can suffer. We can look at return air options and recommend improvements when needed.
Filter setup
A good filter setup should protect the equipment without choking the system. We can help make room for better filter access, cleaner filter installation, or upgraded filtration when the system can support it.
System sizing and duct matching
What we do and do not do
At this stage, we are not primarily focused on new construction ductwork or large full-home duct remodel projects. Our ductwork and airflow work is currently focused on existing residential systems, equipment replacement planning, system sizing, return air, filtration, practical duct additions, and helping homes breathe better.
That may change again in the future, but right now our focus is clear: helping homeowners understand whether their ductwork and airflow are supporting the heating and cooling system they already have or the system they are planning to install.
If your home needs a major ductwork project outside our current scope, we will be honest about that.
Our happy customers
We've got answers
Right now, our focus is on helping with existing residential systems, airflow problems, equipment replacement planning, return air, filter setup, practical duct additions, and matching the HVAC system to the ductwork.
We are not currently focused on large new construction ductwork projects or full-home duct remodels. If your project is outside our current scope, we will tell you honestly.
